Fairfax, Va. – December 6, 2010 -  Omega World Travel (Omega), a global travel management company headquartered in Fairfax, VA, announced it will expand its meetings and incentives division with the addition of a new meetings professional, Laurie Serena. As the Director of Business Development and Meetings for Omega’s Midwest operations, Ms. Serena will lead the effort in sales and marketing for meetings, incentives and conventions. Omega’s meetings division is located in Milwaukee, servicing customers worldwide.

Laurie Serena brings to Omega a diversified and solid professional background in both corporate and association meeting planning, as well as experience with/in convention and visitors bureaus and hotel management. Her experience is extensive and varied, including positions as Director of Convention Services for the Greater Milwaukee Convention and Visitors Bureau; meeting planning consultant with Johnson Controls, Inc.; and Manager of Group Travel and Meetings for The Procter and Gamble Company. In addition to leading the effort in sales & marketing in the meetings, incentives and conventions arena, Ms. Serena’s new responsibilities also will include meeting and convention planning for corporate, association, and CVB clients.

Diane Bozicevich, VP of Operations for Omega’s Midwest region, oversees the meetings division and will work with Laurie and the rest of the team to increase sales and broaden Omega’s reach nationwide in the meetings and conference sector.  “Laurie is known to her clients as the planner who ‘makes it happen,” says Bozicevich. “She has a solid reputation with her customers and substantial experience in the industry.  Her CVB experience and exceptional performance only add to her incredible professional portfolio.”
